Tour Details

This combined ticket offers a seamless journey from Amsterdam city center to two prominent attractions: the Moco Museum and the Keukenhof Gardens, including transfers for convenience. The tour begins in Amsterdam, where visitors are transferred by comfortable coach to the Moco Museum, located in a historic townhouse on Museumplein. After spending time viewing the contemporary and modern art collection, the group travels approximately 35 kilometers southwest to Keukenhof Gardens, well-known for its vast displays of tulips and other spring flowers. The itinerary is designed for a relaxed pace, allowing ample time at each location before returning to Amsterdam in the late afternoon.

At the Moco Museum, visitors will encounter works by artists such as Banksy, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichtenstein, set within a stately 1904 building with period architecture and subtle garden views. The museum’s temporary and permanent exhibitions focus on modern street art and provocative contemporary pieces, providing a contrast to Amsterdam’s classical art scene. Moving to Keukenhof, the gardens present a sensory experience with over seven million bulbs flowering across 79 acres. Visitors walk through themed gardens, greenhouses, and pavilions, enjoying the scents of hyacinths and daffodils, the sound of buzzing bees, and the sight of precisely arranged floral patterns.

The tour typically accommodates small to medium-sized groups, enhancing the comfort and intimacy of the experience. Transfers between Amsterdam, the museum, and the gardens are handled via modern coaches with air conditioning. While the Moco Museum visit is self-guided, staff are available for assistance, and detailed informational materials are provided. At Keukenhof, visitors use marked paths and signage to navigate the extensive grounds independently, with staff on hand for support.

The tour is designed for flexibility, allowing visitors to spend their preferred amount of time at each stop. This tour suits those interested in contemporary art juxtaposed with one of the world’s foremost floral displays. It appeals to travelers who appreciate art outside traditional museums and enjoy outdoor environments with seasonal appeal. It’s ideal for individuals or groups seeking a convenient day trip from Amsterdam that combines cultural enrichment with natural beauty.

Given the walking involved in Keukenhof, a moderate fitness level is recommended, but the experience remains accessible to most visitors.

The cruise continues past the towering Westerkerk and the quaint houseboats moored along the canal edges. Further along, the elegant façades of the Golden Bend houses showcase Amsterdam’s affluent merchant history. The journey also includes views of the majestic Rijksmuseum and the modernist Stedelijk Museum, visible as the boat nears the museum district. Each stop offers a chance to take in details like carved gables, ironwork, and reflections in the water. The cruise runs in small groups, ensuring an intimate experience without overcrowding.
