Our hiking group are small and limited to a maximum of 4 persons to maximize the personal experience with more opportunity to engage and interact with our tour guide. India Venster hike is known for its challenging and dramatics views. The "Venster" (window in the Afrikaans language) is attributed to a spectacular viewpoint that we see framed by two large rock buttresses. Hiking Table Mountain one of the most recognizable mountains in Africa and one of the seven natural wonders in the world is a unique experience it has a unique floral kingdom found only in the South Western Cape commonly know as fynbos. It is the smallest and richest of the six floral kingdoms on our planet with many species of proteas, ericas and restios. Also unique to Table Mountain is the ghost frog a rare and elusive frog species that is endemic to Table Mountain. More exotic also found on Table Mountain is our Himalayan Tahr "wild mountain goats" native to Northern India, Southern Tibet, China and Nepal.

Guided personally by author and storyteller, Gerald Garner, this is the most insightful tour you will find about Cape Town. An absolute must-do experience. This is not merely a tour but a mesmerizing storytelling experience. It will provide you with insight and understanding of the history and make-up of this fascinating city. And it will make you understand the entire South African story. With this knowledge, you will enjoy the rest of your visit to the city and country much more! This 4-hour walking tour is easy, covering 3,5km. It is for the curiously minded, but also includes opportunity for sightseeing, photography, experiencing the vibe of the city – and even a stop or two for drinks and sampling a local delicacy. The tour focuses on the background story of Cape Town. We start off with the 1870s Industrial Revolution and the Scramble for Africa before returning to pre-colonial history and moving on all the way to the early 20th Century. Join us for sure!

This is a great tour and one of the most popular in Cape Town. It takes travelers right along the Atlantic Seaboard where there are some of the most expensive residential areas in Africa. It also brings travelers close to some of the beautiful beaches in Cape Town - 4 of the 10 beaches on the blue flag list. Travelers enjoy some of the most breathtaking views along the way with typically African landscape. Dramatic mountains and a wide variety of the fynbos family plant species. There are also wild animals seen on this tour with the most popular being the Chacma baboon. It is a tour that exposes the rich marine life of the Cape which includes seals and whales. The plant species is equally amazing with the eve popular Protea which is the South African national flower. Conclusively it is an outdoor opportunity, fun-filled, and exploring tour. This tour is rich in history and there is also a taste of South African food along the way.
